MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
.png)
We offer non-narcotic medication management for children, adolescents, and adults (ages 6 - 65) with mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, and ADHD. When psychological symptoms severely impact your work, relationships, or basic needs, medication can offer essential relief and support. We do not provide treatment for substance use disorders, such as treatment for detoxification, acute withdrawal, or medication-assisted treatment.
Your ability to adhere to medication treatment will be taken into consideration in making the decision to start such therapy. Treatment options will consider your age, biological status, genetics, psychological development, and social issues.
Should you appear appropriate for a medication trial, you will be provided all the pertinent information needed to make a rational decision as to which medication is right for you. Not everyone is a suitable candidate for medication therapy. Consequently, you may be referred for psychotherapy (talk therapy) to address current symptoms as opposed to medication.
To ensure you are an appropriate candidate for medication consideration, a referral from your Primary Care Physician (PCP) is required prior to the prescribing of any medication. The PCP should confirm that you have had a well-visit within the past year.
We utilize a prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP), an electronic database that tracks controlled substance prescriptions. This information helps providers to identify potential medication issues, such as drug interactions and duplicate prescriptions.
