GIFTED & SCHOOL ADMISSION ASSESSMENTS

Certain schools or specialized programs may necessitate an evaluation for admission. We offer gifted and admission assessments for students from preschool to grade school, beginning at 2 years and 6 months old. Our evaluations are comprehensive and adhere to the standards set by Bulletin 1508.

PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL EVALUATIONS

A psychoeducational evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of a student's cognitive skills, academic achievements, and emotional health. These evaluations may identify learning differences and attention-related issues. Your child may be eligible for academic accommodations, which could include extended time, task simplification, or testing in a quieter setting away from classroom distractions.  If you think your child could benefit from additional time on standardized tests (including LEAP, ACT, and SAT), it's important to research the specific criteria, as some may only require documentation a few days before the test, while others could require 1-3 years.

ADULT ADHD ASSESSMENTS

Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments are available for adults currently enrolled in an academic or trade program.  If you are struggling in school, an assessment may help pinpoint issues that were not identified when you were in grade school.  Our assessments  measure your strengths and weaknesses with recommendations to suit your needs.  If you are not enrolled in such a program, we will assess the demands of your daily routine to determine the suitability of an assessment.  These evaluations may be useful in identifying attention deficits that were not detected during grade school.  ADHD symptoms can affect your ability to organize, complete daily tasks, and remain focused at work.  If you are having consistent issues with attention, distractibility, or memory, we will assist in determining if an assessment is warranted.
